I've seen so many other posters floating around Facebook that I've decided to make some of my own. This is my first one. Feel free to put it on Facebook or Pinterest as long as my copyright stays intact.

This one is my commentary on how women are made to feel ugly because they aren't skin and bones like many supermodels.

I want to make new monoprints. Here are some I already made years ago. Paper is fragile and many of these got lost or damaged over the years. At least I have the photos. What I want to do is make oracle cards with the new batch. I'll pick the 50 best ones and put them on a mediumship deck for readings.

More about my two latest paintings.

For the Love of Shapes and Colors

I spent today working on a new painting. You can see from the top down the different stages it went through. It's acrylic on Bristol stock. I was painting outdoors, which has the best light, and about sunset I had to quit for the day because I couldn't see the colors as well. Mostly I just have more of the aqua background to do.

I hope to turn this design into fabric and then cut it all apart for A.C.E.O.'s. Of course if someone wants to buy it before I cut it apart, they better speak up fast.

Angel Painting

For Mother's Day I gave this angel painting I did to my boyfriend's mother. She seemed happy enough to get it and found a spot for it in her bedroom. It's acrylics done in a folk art style.

Illustrating Children's Books

When I was younger I wanted to be a children's book illustrator. That never happened, but the interest never went away.  So when I found this awesome book on the topic at the library I grabbed it.  If you ever get the chance to buy a copy, do it. I would like one for my permanent collection. It's called Illustrating Children's Books Creating Pictures for Publication. Click on the photo to see the larger size.
